A few days ago a rumor about Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 1070 reaching its voltage limit started going around the web. The rumor was based on a screenshot from a Chinese website that showed the alleged limit of 1.212 volts. Well, it turns out that the screenshot was fake and that the GTX 1070 doesn’t have a voltage limit. However, this doesn’t mean that the GTX 1070 is immune to voltage issues.

When I tested my GTX 1070 with Claymore’s Dual Ethereum miner, I found that at stock clocks (1,506 MHz) and voltages (1.096 volts), I was getting around 25 Mh/s. But when I increased the voltage to 1.212 volts, I only got 26 Mh/s.
